Despite the wind and blowing snow, it turned out to be a GREAT time. Thanks to Lee for making this happen. And it was also cool as hell to meet all the other folks.

Unfortunately, after I got home and showered, my patented malaise kicked in (thanks largely to a late stage cold) and I couldn't make it back out to the Hopleaf. But I will certainly be up for another ride/Belgian blowout ASAP!

Hey everybody, It was nice to meet y'all, though I didn't get the greatest grip on names and faces, what with the balaclavas, etc. Thanks for showing me my bottle openers!

best,
Jason

Excellent ride, despite the craptastic weather! Thanks again to Lee for organizing the tour. Memorable Lee quotes: "ridiculoso" and "amazing shit". It was cool meeting fellow chainlinkers. Natalie, Jerry, and Terry - mmm, the taste of mussels and frites with garlic mayonnaise still lingers!

Fantastic ride, even if:

1. I never truly warmed up until we'd been at Hopleaf for about three hours

2. I fell off my bike--first wipeout in several years

3. I got blown across the road practically into oncoming traffic.

Lee, thanks tons. I can't wait for a ride in nice weather.

Greatly enjoyed in spite of the wind, which stopped us dead a couple of times. Looking forward to next weekend :-)

Well at least Aaron is safe from incineration! And why has John's profile photo gone all Malevich on us?

Looks like Kedzie and Lawrence - if antique postcards can be trusted ;-)

Here's the original, Hollander on the left. Symons Fireproof Warehouse on the right. Don't know where it's located though...
