Information

Chicagoland Beer Exploration Society

Every member of the Society (CBES) should aspire to have a beer at every brewery or brewpub located in a day or two bicycle ride distance from Chicago (and, of course, within the city limits).

Naturally, preferable way of getting to is by bike, as for riding back . . . whatever is available, train, bus, horse and buggy, depending on amount of beverages consumed at the destination.

Routes on Ride with GPS, here.

On Facebook, here.

On Twitter, here.

Lists of breweries and brewpubs (and other beer things): on Facebook, and on Twitter.

it might never meet approval. :-/

did something change here recently? the font looks smaller, and didn't there used to be a way to delete posts (for example, with links that didn't work)?

I confirmed with Open Outcry that their rooftop deck will be open tomorrow at 11a.  Seating is first come, first served but they dont think it will be crowded in the afternoon.

looking at a map, blue island is on the way. i've been fine on Vincennes and Halsted in the past. i've never tried that stretch of Dixie Hwy. anybody else? N on wood / ashland then E on broadway instead? it would only add 1.4 mi., and how often do you get to ride by kickapoo meadows?
