Information

Chicagoland Beer Exploration Society

Every member of the Society (CBES) should aspire to have a beer at every brewery or brewpub located in a day or two bicycle ride distance from Chicago (and, of course, within the city limits).

Naturally, preferable way of getting to is by bike, as for riding back . . . whatever is available, train, bus, horse and buggy, depending on amount of beverages consumed at the destination.

That's quite a hike for one brewery! To be perfectly honest I'm not sure that sounds too appealing considering it would be not so scenic NW IN that we'd be riding thru. Now if you were riding to Madison with a stop at New Glarus I might be game! :)

Palos Ride is posted for June 27.

I may be able to join you on that ride, Serge.

As a side note I got to try Forge's West Coast IPA and it was really flavorful and hoppy. Of course after 68 miles of gravel just about any beer would've been tasty.

Scratch my earlier post, I didn't realize how close the clock tower is, we'll just meet you there.

Just occurs to me that I won't need my monthly metra ticket on Monday morning (June 1).

FREE train ride back for anyone who gets a flat, or has another mechanical issue - worst issue take it.

Is there a route plan for tomorrow? DPR north? McClory (AKA Green Bay Trail)?
