Information

Chicagoland Beer Exploration Society

Every member of the Society (CBES) should aspire to have a beer at every brewery or brewpub located in a day or two bicycle ride distance from Chicago (and, of course, within the city limits).

Naturally, preferable way of getting to is by bike, as for riding back . . . whatever is available, train, bus, horse and buggy, depending on amount of beverages consumed at the destination.

On Twitter, here.

Lists of breweries and brewpubs (and other beer things): on Facebook, and on Twitter.

Happy New Year!

I might try to ride to Kenosha (Public Craft and Rustic Road) on Saturday. I'm thinking mostly Sheridan Road though I might get on the trails north of Lake Forest if they are passable. If they're not I might just try for Zumbier in Waukegan. Either way I'd probably try to catch the train back from Waukegan (since there is only one southbound train from Kenosha at 6:49pm.) Anyone interested?

sat. might work for me. "Generally sunny despite a few afternoon clouds. High 38F. Winds WSW at 10 to 20 mph." or fri. again? not sun.
