Information

Chicagoland Beer Exploration Society

Every member of the Society (CBES) should aspire to have a beer at every brewery or brewpub located in a day or two bicycle ride distance from Chicago (and, of course, within the city limits).

Naturally, preferable way of getting to is by bike, as for riding back . . . whatever is available, train, bus, horse and buggy, depending on amount of beverages consumed at the destination.

Routes on Ride with GPS, here.

On Facebook, here.

On Twitter, here.

Lists of breweries and brewpubs (and other beer things): on Facebook, and on Twitter.

Where will this adventure begin?

Interestingly, it cuts through the St. Lawrence Divide pass/portage they used for making the canal. I believe that subcontinental line follows 294 for a good while.

lady google suggests this, and i think i did what she said last time. for more of a workout we could include the hill.

now it's coming back to me, last time i hit both goose islands on the way home.
