Chicagoland Beer Exploration Society
Information
Every member of the Society (CBES) should aspire to have a beer at every brewery or brewpub located in a day or two bicycle ride distance from Chicago (and, of course, within the city limits).
Naturally, preferable way of getting to is by bike, as for riding back . . . whatever is available, train, bus, horse and buggy, depending on amount of beverages consumed at the destination.

today should be nice: "Abundant sunshine. High 57F. Winds SW at 10 to 20 mph." i have to be in evanston in the morning. i'd be ready to leave at 12:15 from the mather, on the south side of davis between judson and hinman. anybody else want to get out?

I believe the trail is still closed. There are two options to go around that I'm aware of:
First is to continue north at the point where the trail turns directly east a half mile or so before the bridge at about where Bryn Mawr is north/south. That takes you to a place where you can go under the expressway. But be aware it's almost always really muddy.
Second option is to use the Cumberland Blue line station to get across the Kennedy. I would recommend that over Cumberland Ave. Then rather than ride Higgins, use the side streets to get to Devon and rejoin the trail there.

Skokie Valley Trail may be the most boring trail I've been on. I guess its good if you don't want many interruptions, either road crossings or other users.

jared up GBT to lake bluff, then back on SVT. everyone else stopped at Sketchbook, i didn't have time.
chris 2 isn't 2 many, we went 2 2 on sat. and it was fun 2 compare & contrast.
