Chicagoland Beer Exploration Society

Information

Chicagoland Beer Exploration Society

Every member of the Society (CBES) should aspire to have a beer at every brewery or brewpub located in a day or two bicycle ride distance from Chicago (and, of course, within the city limits).

Naturally, preferable way of getting to is by bike, as for riding back . . . whatever is available, train, bus, horse and buggy, depending on amount of beverages consumed at the destination.

Routes on Ride with GPS, here.

On Facebook, here.

On Twitter, here.

Lists of breweries and brewpubs (and other beer things): on Facebook, and on Twitter.

Thx, Larry.  My frame pump collected enough grit inside the barrel that it required an overhaul.

in that second one i was using one foot to ratchet one pedal to move forward. if i'd pedaled in a circle, my foot would've gone underwater. and my other foot was unclipped, since one pedal staying above the water meant the other stayed below.

Flooding of Thornton Creek in Glenwood transformed the road into a river.
