Information

Chicagoland Beer Exploration Society

Every member of the Society (CBES) should aspire to have a beer at every brewery or brewpub located in a day or two bicycle ride distance from Chicago (and, of course, within the city limits).

Naturally, preferable way of getting to is by bike, as for riding back . . . whatever is available, train, bus, horse and buggy, depending on amount of beverages consumed at the destination.

Ah good to know Lunar isn't so hot.  I won't visit Solemn Oath on account of their refusing to fill growlers from other breweries.

I'm leaning toward lazy anyway since I want to try Dryhop and Revolution is oh so close.

I'd like to plan something for Friday July 5th and want to see if anyone's interested in either option:

Ride Option --> IPP to Lunar Brewing and Church Street Brewing (tap room only open on Fridays)

Lazy Option --> Lunch at Dryhop then head over to Revolution's Tap Room which should be re-opened by then.

Anyone interested in either?

That trip to New Glarus sounds like a great idea. When were you thinking of doing that?

So this is getting a little ahead but is anyone else taking or have the day off on Friday July 5th and up for a ride?  I have no idea where or how far so open to suggestions if there's interest.  It can even be local spots like Revolution's Tap Room.
