Every member of the Society (CBES) should aspire to have a beer at every brewery or brewpub located in a day or two bicycle ride distance from Chicago (and, of course, within the city limits).
Naturally, preferable way of getting to is by bike, as for riding back . . . whatever is available, train, bus, horse and buggy, depending on amount of beverages consumed at the destination.

The ride sounds good Serge but I do think we should try to include Lake Bluff. Especially since we missed it on my ride last month due to train schedule.
Is there an event created for this?
9 am meetup on the northside for people who want to ride the whole way, 10 AM in Wilmette?
July 20 to Kenosha: Good chance I can join this ride since you'll all be riding up through Lake Bluff where I live. Meet at Lake Bluff Brewing? Yes, it's small, but great beer and some outside seating. Metra home times are 6:49pm and 10:20pm (leaving Kenosha). 20 bikes per train.
Doug left me a voicemail the day after the trip to Lake Geneva. He thanked everyone for "putting up with him."
Whatever happened to Doug anyways?
I just noticed that this group existed. Do I need a Long Haul Trucker for these rides? I'm afraid my upright hybrid will get uncomfortable on long rides.
