Information

Chicagoland Beer Exploration Society

Every member of the Society (CBES) should aspire to have a beer at every brewery or brewpub located in a day or two bicycle ride distance from Chicago (and, of course, within the city limits).

Naturally, preferable way of getting to is by bike, as for riding back . . . whatever is available, train, bus, horse and buggy, depending on amount of beverages consumed at the destination.

Routes on Ride with GPS, here.

On Facebook, here.

On Twitter, here.

Lists of breweries and brewpubs (and other beer things): on Facebook, and on Twitter.

turns out we have a matinee on 2/1. now thinking 2/8, with stops at Little Goat, The Radler ("radler" means "cyclist" in German), Farmhouse, Northdown, Eataly, and Dusek's.

Add Wild Onion and Emmett's in Palatine to that list, Serge.  Make it 42!

Yeah I think some of us were talking about taking a weekend and visiting a few breweries in that area. Memorial Day weekend might be best but I may not be able to do it then. Won't know until April.

New Glarus would have to be overnight.

Temperance would be good for a Sunday afternoon in winter since its only a few miles.
