Information

Chicagoland Beer Exploration Society

Every member of the Society (CBES) should aspire to have a beer at every brewery or brewpub located in a day or two bicycle ride distance from Chicago (and, of course, within the city limits).

Naturally, preferable way of getting to is by bike, as for riding back . . . whatever is available, train, bus, horse and buggy, depending on amount of beverages consumed at the destination.

On Twitter, here.

Lists of breweries and brewpubs (and other beer things): on Facebook, and on Twitter.

ok, will look for you between the bridge and the park. and text you if we don't see you before turning into the park (or going straight).

OK, if you don't go thru cal park I think it would be hard to miss you. Will try to catch you over the bridge in the "southworks" part of 41.

txt me at 219.413.0584 if there's a prob. thx.

bruce, let's see, ETA ewing street bridge would be 9:26 leaving from the clock tower @ 8. so leaving from fullerton @ 8:30 should make it 9:47.

but i don't know if steve was thinking 3f or imperial oak.

and he hasn't said, and you're thinking 3f, so let's go with 3f.

fullerton & the lake @ 8:30 tomorrow.

What time you think you'll make the 95th/ewing street bridge?

Comment by bobweiser on August 5, 2016 at 9:01am

make that 8:30 if we're going to 3f, just to be safe. should be a little cooler tomorrow!

I'm going for a ride Sunday. Not sure when/where yet but I'm also looking to put in miles since I have Gravel Worlds coming up. Thinking either metra to Elburn to ride farm roads out that way, metra to Barrington Hills, or DPRT. Decision will be determined by how festive Su's brother's wedding is on Saturday. Message me if anyone wants to join.

i was thinking fullerton & the lake. 3f opens sooner, so 9:00 if we're going there, 10:00 if imperial oak?

Bob:  When and from where would you leave on Sat?

Comment by bobweiser on August 4, 2016 at 4:58pm

i'd like to get in more miles. sat. and sun. both should be nice. 3f / 18th st. or imperial oak / 5 rabbit (sat. only)?
