Information

Chicagoland Beer Exploration Society

Every member of the Society (CBES) should aspire to have a beer at every brewery or brewpub located in a day or two bicycle ride distance from Chicago (and, of course, within the city limits).

Naturally, preferable way of getting to is by bike, as for riding back . . . whatever is available, train, bus, horse and buggy, depending on amount of beverages consumed at the destination.

Routes on Ride with GPS, here.

On Facebook, here.

On Twitter, here.

Lists of breweries and brewpubs (and other beer things): on Facebook, and on Twitter.

Popeye's! are they open for breakfast?

Comment by Duppie on April 8, 2017 at 4:40am
We'll leave at 7:30 am from Fullerton and Damen, at the Southwest corner, opposite the Popeye's.

Thanks for the LFT tip, Will!

If others want to join us, please do. This will be a no-drop ride at 14-15 miles an hour

Q: And another thing: sure you want to ride LFT on a first nice Sunday morning?

A: What alternatives did you have in mind?

Q: Is the crushed-limestone-covered trail south of Romeoville dry enough to ride?

A: only one way to find out. I think they recover much faster now that the temps are above freezing.
