Every member of the Society (CBES) should aspire to have a beer at every brewery or brewpub located in a day or two bicycle ride distance from Chicago (and, of course, within the city limits).
Naturally, preferable way of getting to is by bike, as for riding back . . . whatever is available, train, bus, horse and buggy, depending on amount of beverages consumed at the destination.

Kolsch brewed with a single hop varietal from France. Aroma is primarily pear, banana, and tropical fruits. Secondary flavors of grainy malt and floral notes are also present balancing the fruit flavors. This beer is light bodied with a bitter, dry finish.
Single hop IPA. Brewed with an experimental hop from France.
What I'd like to have right now is for all you fat, out of shape, craft beer drinking sweathogs to keep the noise down while I take my robe off and show all the ladies what a real man is supposed to look like. This Rude Pale Ale is Simply Ravashing!
Fullerton/LFT tomorrow Sun. @ 8:30. anybody else?
Weather expected looks great: Mainly sunny. High 68F. NNW winds shifting to E at 10 to 15 mph.
The usual route to 3f comes out on calumet further south, do you want to branch off from calumet & 45th?
sure. from where? and what route do you have in mind? Erie-Lackawanna, ugh.
ok, ride together to 3f, then you'll go on to Griffith and either ride back or to flossmoor and metra, and i'll return via 18th st and either ride back or take the nictd. when are you thinking of leaving/getting there?
and then the following weekend the Fourth Step Ride!
it's not that much farther than 3f, is it?
you're thinking Griffith? i'm of course thinking just 3f = 8 mi. as opposed to all the way back = 30 mi.
or 18th st? nictd should be taking bikes again.
It's been a while since my last ride south-east... Wanna go there? As far as Griffith, at least. Either ride back or to Flossmoor?
with the wind going down, against coming back? if you have your mind made up, i guess i could go with you part way.
