Every member of the Society (CBES) should aspire to have a beer at every brewery or brewpub located in a day or two bicycle ride distance from Chicago (and, of course, within the city limits).
Naturally, preferable way of getting to is by bike, as for riding back . . . whatever is available, train, bus, horse and buggy, depending on amount of beverages consumed at the destination.

for a change of pace (literally) this month: Seventh Step Ride: Laid-Back & Deutsch-Freundlich Version on sun. 7/23
wish i could, unfortunately need to get some work done :-(
It was great. Had 18 of us and perfect weather. 2 flats and 2 long waits at R&R tracks on way home though. And some people missed some turns despite your cue sheet being spot on!
how was the ride otherwise? for a change i went with rich to burn 'em. which was a lot of fun.
Sorry to whoever it was that showed up for FFF ride today at Queen's Landing with no helmet. I didn't meet you but heard my club wasn't keen on you riding with us due to the liability. Everyone should always wear a helmet, but even more so on group rides.
Leading a march to FFF on Sat. if anyone's interested. (thanks again for the cue sheet @bobweiser) Meetup Event Details
rescheduled for tomorrow. and good thing!
Scattered thunderstorms, some locally strong to perhaps severe. Storms may produce large hail and strong winds. Winds SW at 10 to 20 mph.
fff and back before the rain tomorrow?
ran into larry riding south on the LFT on sat., what a nice surprise. had an amazing mini-stout-fest @ 18th st. thought i messed up my knee on the way back, but took some aspirin and took it easy and today's it's a ton better.
