Chicagoland Beer Exploration Society

Information

Chicagoland Beer Exploration Society

Every member of the Society (CBES) should aspire to have a beer at every brewery or brewpub located in a day or two bicycle ride distance from Chicago (and, of course, within the city limits).

Naturally, preferable way of getting to is by bike, as for riding back . . . whatever is available, train, bus, horse and buggy, depending on amount of beverages consumed at the destination.

On Twitter, here.

Lists of breweries and brewpubs (and other beer things): on Facebook, and on Twitter.

Ok ok.

Tentatively seven breweries, tentatively 20 miles - sounds like a good tentative ratio.

And a non-tentative :P

Well, if we wont hit seven breweries, we may have to cut down on the mileage too.

The keep the ratio the same, that is

I've tried a few Black Husky beers before(thanks to Tenuta's in Kenosha, LOVE stopping at that store SO MUCH for create your own 6 packs of beer), and liked them. If I had a working bike, I'd consider going on this trip. Just got one, but I'm still getting it tuned up for riding. A friend who's more into bikes than me did fix some of the issues with it(i.e. brakes), thank goodness. Maybe I'll do some riding with that bike in 2018, if not later in December?
