Chicagoland Beer Exploration Society

Information

Chicagoland Beer Exploration Society

Every member of the Society (CBES) should aspire to have a beer at every brewery or brewpub located in a day or two bicycle ride distance from Chicago (and, of course, within the city limits).

Naturally, preferable way of getting to is by bike, as for riding back . . . whatever is available, train, bus, horse and buggy, depending on amount of beverages consumed at the destination.

Routes on Ride with GPS, here.

On Facebook, here.

On Twitter, here.

Lists of breweries and brewpubs (and other beer things): on Facebook, and on Twitter.

So Bob, do we have to have a ticket to do the fifth step ride?

Comment by bobweiser on May 13, 2019 at 3:18pm

mark, ok, what would the distance be in that case? :-)

steve, i don't know if that helps NO judge whether they'll be able to catch ER.

what NO is wondering is, "am i faster enough"?

Comment by Steve A on May 13, 2019 at 11:16am

To catch ER at any distance D, the speed of NO must be D/(T-0.5), where T is Time in hours.  I think?

Comment by DerferMark on May 13, 2019 at 10:57am

0.01 mph since you didn't specify a distance. :)

did a word problem on a ride recently. say Early Riser leaves a half hour before Night Owl. how much faster does NO have to be to catch ER?

Comment by bobweiser on May 12, 2019 at 3:34pm
