Chicagoland Beer Exploration Society

Information

Chicagoland Beer Exploration Society

Every member of the Society (CBES) should aspire to have a beer at every brewery or brewpub located in a day or two bicycle ride distance from Chicago (and, of course, within the city limits).

Naturally, preferable way of getting to is by bike, as for riding back . . . whatever is available, train, bus, horse and buggy, depending on amount of beverages consumed at the destination.

Routes on Ride with GPS, here.

On Facebook, here.

On Twitter, here.

Lists of breweries and brewpubs (and other beer things): on Facebook, and on Twitter.

that replanting, the sight of which was so shocking i gasped out loud, may mark the end of the construction of the West Lake Corridor Project. maybe i first noticed signs of it on the 2022 Second Step Ride?

FFF hasn’t (yet) re-opened for dining in. 18th St apparently is closing.

Maybe the 2025 1st Step -- the 20th! -- should be a termination ride? Or a succession ride? All is impermanent.

"The inaugural Three Floyds ride (2006) was conceived and organized by Mark Sinclair. As many of you know, Mark died April 14th of this [that] year after suffering a brain aneurism. It was Mark’s hope that this would become an annual event.”
