Information

Chicagoland Beer Exploration Society

Every member of the Society (CBES) should aspire to have a beer at every brewery or brewpub located in a day or two bicycle ride distance from Chicago (and, of course, within the city limits).

Naturally, preferable way of getting to is by bike, as for riding back . . . whatever is available, train, bus, horse and buggy, depending on amount of beverages consumed at the destination.

Today is the first ride of the Earth Rider brewery series.  Starting today, and every other Thurs. starting at 6pm we are biking from the bike shop in Bucktown to a different microbrewery.  Today it is Metropolitan Brewing in Avondale.  Join us today or on another Thurs. evening ride with your new friends and some fresh brews.

Get ready for Spring brewery rides!  I am leading 16 rides to microbreweries on the NW side of Chicago, every other Thurs. evening starting April 6, rolling out at 6pm.  All start at Earth Rider Cycling, 1873 N Milwaukee Ave, with routes of 10-15 miles on bike paths or low traffic streets.  Check out the schedule and RSVP

All rides are free but bring cash or credit for beer and/or food. At the end of the series in Oct. we'll vote on our favorite so join us for as many as you can.
