I am all for more rides; it will give me an excuse to continue to spend money on Brit bikes.

I think we oughta tweed 2 more times this Summer! I'll help plan. I already help plan enough other stuff, why not a ride? Then I'll HAVE TO break down and buy a vintage Brit-bike ;)

Indeed we do! By the way, three cheers for Aaron and his innovative route. The picnic was fantastic. I vote we keep that a permanent part of our fair weather events. And hip, hip to John for helping with route planning and pre-ride! Next event (officially) is scheduled for Sat, 11 Sept. Are you suggesting something before that???

Thanks to everyone at the Tweed Ride for welcoming us into the fold. We had a great time!

SlyRed, you should be able to find parking near there that is just fine but if you head to my area in Logan Square (California and Armitage) parking is wide open and a very short ride to the start of the ride.

I've got and have read that book about Raleigh and the British cycle industry - as you say: a bit dry, but interesting ...

I've left it rather late to post now, but I'm driving in from the 'burbs and wonder where I can park in proximity to Red Square for the whole day. Any suggestions?
