While Sir Aaron are off to the inaugural Grand Rapids Tweed Ride this weekend...
"[m]ore than 1,000 Morris and folk dancers from across the UK are set to descend on the 17th Tenterden Folk Festival this weekend. Some 50 sides (or teams) performing a range of styles will grace the streets of Tenterden, Kent, for the annual festival, which spans three days, beginning this Friday and ending on Sunday evening. The festival aims to preserve and advance public education and appreciation of traditional and contemporary folk music, song, dance and other related traditions, such as arts and crafts."

And yes, we held up the tweedy traditions of the BBC!

The Chicago Mob (the delegation from the BBC to the ABCE and The Lake Pepin Three Speed Tour.) represented in great fashion this past weekend in Minneapolis St. Paul. We returned feeling relieved that there are those out there whose bicycle obsession far surpasses ours, and a warm feeling inside from the good company and high spirits (yes both kinds of spirits.) Here's a link

and further, we have been inspired to have a monthly BBC meeting to hang, and geek, out . . . thoughts . . .

I do wish to do a bonfire but I prefer avoiding public land. I'd do it on a marauders' ride but the thought of tweedy, trendy ladies and gents in a paddy wagon .... so is there anyone that anyone knows who would offer their backyard???

Alan,
No front fender guy is me. That looks like its black and would keep the rain from spraying up my kilt!
