I think that is an excellent idea. Schaller's is one of those landmarks most people never get to if they are outside the neighborhood.

Perhaps we should (slightly) modify the end of the ride to fly by Blue City Cycles (3201 S. Halsted; probably closed for hours by the time we get there) and drop in at Schaller's Pump (3714 S. Halsted; a former speak-easy and "Chicago's oldest continuously running tavern" (originally opened in 1881).

The destination is confirmed. The fabulous Bubbly Dynamics in the Central Manufacturing of greater Chicago, Illinois.
To keep in line with tradition we will need at least one effigy to go with the wood.

Anyone able to carry larger quantities of wood (trailer, etc.) would be most welcome. I'll be strapping at least two milk crates to my bike to fill (and pre-riding the route this week).
