I think that is an excellent idea. Schaller's is one of those landmarks most people never get to if they are outside the neighborhood.

Perhaps we should (slightly) modify the end of the ride to fly by Blue City Cycles (3201 S. Halsted; probably closed for hours by the time we get there) and drop in at Schaller's Pump (3714 S. Halsted; a former speak-easy and "Chicago's oldest continuously running tavern" (originally opened in 1881).
Owen: what's this bar like?

Use this simple image (above) for a mask or get the PDF for a cut-out of the V for Vendentta character here http://kimpix.net/2006/11/25/guy-fawkes-paper-craft-mask/

I'm super excited for the tweed ride. Although my bike is not British I have the appropriate attire. See you guys there.

The destination is confirmed. The fabulous Bubbly Dynamics in the Central Manufacturing of greater Chicago, Illinois.
To keep in line with tradition we will need at least one effigy to go with the wood.

I can put wood into my trailer, not much but some...

The event details have been posted to the calendar!

Anyone able to carry larger quantities of wood (trailer, etc.) would be most welcome. I'll be strapping at least two milk crates to my bike to fill (and pre-riding the route this week).

Preliminary route here:

Stops include Duke of Perth, Weeds, English, Grace O' Malley's and Skylark.
