Wow, decisions, decisions. To finally be able to make a BBC Tweed Ride or ride in my old high school drin...er...stomping grounds.

Actually, that ride looks like a lot of fun. Depending on what part of Wisconsin it takes place . . .

Also, check out another ride that day 2 hours north in Lake Mills, WI. It's a Rural Ramble through Farm, Fen, Field & Fell!

Well, given how summer temps have stretched into late September and early October the last couple of years, I believe we have both a date (Sunday, 3 October) and a theme/title (The Last of the Summer Rides) ... And the even is now up here!

"Last of the Summer Wine" was in the north of England, Yorkshire, not the South West (Somerset, Devon & Cornwell, etc.).

This geezer suggests "The Last of the Summer Rides" In my Last of the Summer Wine viewing of late I've noticed that bicycles are featured in many, many episodes. I guess that's just part of English life. I'm going to be like them when I'm a pensioner.

I vote for a tweed ride while its still warm to dress like this

Garth's photo brings back a few memories. It's from an old British comedy called, "The Last of the Summer Wine." The show followed the mischievous antics of three bored retirees from the south west of England.

Discussions are ongoing (as I write!), it looks like we're thinking of a Sunday, 3 October Tweed Ride to the great outdoors west of The City of Big Shoulders!

Perhaps we should call it the Old Timers Tweed or GeezerFest?

More details soon but there will be tasty micro-brews and a picnicy repast!
