But what about "Bike the Drive", etc.? In practice we might find that our Tweed Ride organisers might be leaving themselves open without getting participants to sign a waver, at least. But I'm no lawyer ...

What strikes me is how regimented that tweed ride seems to be. Everyone has a number on their arm and on their bikes. I'm glad I live in a country where people have the right to assemble in public places and ride the public streets together without the need for all this regimentation, entry fees, permits, and registration garbage.

Often strikes me that some of these Tweed Runs are more about the costumes than the bikes, not that there is necessarily anything wrong with that?

Note the Bicycle Ambulance in one of those pictures, crossing Westminster Bridge towards the Palace of Westminster (IE: the Houses of Parliament & Big Ben).

Mike: I don't come across the Trygg stands very often, unfortunately.

Ed: don't worry, I still have several tweedy bikes left, in fact the fire-sale is to help pay for one I've just bought off of Owen!

Alan,  will you have anything left for the next Tweed ride?

I have this Doctor friend who was going to give me a lift in his souped-up police box to buy some of the Trygg stands from a shop he knows but he said that if I were to buy too many of them and distribute them it would upset the space-time continuum or something like that.

Alan (or anyone else), do you have a good source for those Trygg double legged kickstands? i'm looking for 2 or 3 for some projects.
