Bob Kastigar you did the same thing as last year?

i'm open to someone else starting this thread, but the proper title isn't title case and isn't a question. :-)

Again, Bob, I know you mean well. Getting therapy currently during this mutherf*ckin' pandemic is EASY(!!) like every goddamn thing is right now -- need to pick up some groceries? EASY! (as long as you're willing to wait in line outside at Trader Joe's in 14 degree weather.) Need to do some personal banking? EASY! (as long as you use an ATM or your smartphone, otherwise bank is operating on random "Covid hours.") Need to appear in court? EASY! (as long as you have a "reliable" internet connection.)  Need a new job? EASY! (take a number.) Need to make funeral arrangements? EASY! (there are still openings for 2022!) You get my drift (and it ain't snow.)  You know the demand for counseling far outstrips the resources currently.

As far as getting back up -- you do until you don't. While I don't think of myself as a quitter -- I mean, who likes to? -- I DO struggle with feeling defeated. Call me Deacon Blues.

Just read this and wanted to say I'm so sorry for everything you are going through. You have some incredibly hard things on your plate. Just wanted to send some positive energy your way and hope the universe gives you and your family some peace, health, and very good vibes in 2021. You all deserve and need it. Take care.

we're more dependent on our internet connections than ever before. and for those with a good connection, getting therapy is in fact easier now, for example:

blue, got it, but you're not a quitter.

funeral arrangements??

So, no disrespect, but I say Psychology Today is full of bullsh*t.

While I have a "good connection", after reaching out SIX weeks ago (Feb. 17), which under the current circumstances feels like a year, I have "met" twice with a therapist and will not meet again until April 13th. 3 whole hours over the course of two full months is some mighty thin gruel. Expectations are nominal.

Funeral arrangements?  Yes, that's what usually occurs after death. While death has not arrived (yet), it is stalking.

curt(is), weird that "reply" wasn't an option after your post.

3 hours over 2 months is bullshit. i could suggest alternatives.

i was wondering if death had arrived yet.

So far, I have 316 miles, all indoor until tomorrow when I will ride outdoors for the first time in 2021.  I'm really looking forward to it.  I've been doing a bunch of climbing on Zwift so far.  I've climbed 21,047 feet so far this year.
