I am looking to buy or trade for a front alloy wheel that is silver and 27"

I have on hand a 700c silver alloy front wheel, 36 hole I can give you all the specs. Also have a rear wheel that is ready for a freewheel, 700c that is dark gray

Catch is I would like to get this today as I wont be in the city tomorrow or the weekend. I work near north and clyborn until 5:30 and will be in Lakeview around 6.

Thanks Much

- Also I have a few odd sized alloy seatposts to trade and might be looking for a front dual pivot brake. Thanks

27" rims are an obsolete rim size, and when they were popular, they were all made out of steel, not aluminum alloy.

27" aluminum rims are very rare, and anyone who does have them probably special ordered them and would not likely be looking to trade.

I encourage you to keep looking, but I wouldn't hope to find a trade very easily or quickly.

If you end up building a new wheel, Velocity makes a few 27" rims.
Thanks for replying, but they aren't obsolete. They can be found in many places online and are a great way to update an old road bike and save some weight. I had multiple offers for a trade, but one fell thought and I wanted to get the bike out today, that is why the rush.

I received a wheel and everything worked out fine.

Just because something is older technology or standard, does not make it obsolete. If you can't buy it at big box bike shops only makes it "not the mass market trend". A perfect example are steel frames (*lights match and plugs ears*)

I stand corrected. Glad you found what you were looking for.
definitely not out obsolete, although a few smaller shops might not carry them. I've had a set from Rapid Transit, and from Upgrade Cycle. 27" isn't that out of the ordinary, considering so many people ride vintage, older bikes.
