Woohoo! First ride in 5 days

Due to the treachery of the snow and ice on my back stairs, I've been gifted with a meeeean sprained ankle. I've had to stay off my feet and hobble around like an invalid since Sunday. Anyway, I finally bit the bullet and saw a doctor yesterday and he put me on the good foot (pun intended). he actually said cycling was therapeutic for my condition, provided I go relatively easy. So I managed to meet and old friend last night, riding 2 miles each way. Not much, but dammit, did that feel gooood.

I'm currently basking in the humid warmth of the Big Easy, but was gonna totally have a meltdown if I couldn't enjoy being outside. But I'm currently sipping on some strong ass coffee; then I'm going to swap some pedals out on my bike down here and hit the road again. Life is sweet once more. :-)
