Some paths get more prompt attention while others just get covered in snow and ice and dont get plowed at all. Im hoping this to be a thread for people to report trail conditions including closures, huge patches of ice, clear roads ahead etc. The good and the bad as its best to be prepared before you head off on a 30 mile trail ride just to find out its closed and the last connector or exit is ten miles back. I know sometimes closures dont get reported right away, or people dont post hazards on the actual trail websites so maybe we all can chip in and help to get the word out there on trail goods and bads during the winter season as they happen..

Wilson to Addison is a bumpy ice/crunched snow mix requiring good bike dancing skills.
Addison to at least Jackson has at least a strip of dry pavement with just a couple of caution spots. Notable exceptions are the curve near the chess pavillion (walked on ice/snow mix), the Oak street curve (several clear smooth ice patches and lots of seaweed litter), the Ohio Street beach (walked on ice/snow mix), the ramp down from the bridge just past Grand (mix of everything), and the pedestrian bridge just after (walked on ice/snow mix).
My name is Jason and I endorse this testimony. ;-)

I wussed out after realizing my bike-dancing skills weren't up to par, and I hopped over to Sheridan then Sheffield, where I found riding much less terrifying. Until this damnable cycle of thaw/refreeze is over, I may just opt for this route.
Just fyi, there's a fairly up to date report at the ATA site at http://www.biketraffic.org/content.php?id=57_0_6_0 .
If anyone has any insight on suburban routes like the IPP (good route to Two Bros Brewing), the Great Western trail, or even the Burnham Greenway (i.e. good route to 3 Floyds - there is a purpose) ... I think that could be valuable information here in addition to the valuable LFP information.
how were the streets this morning? Ok to bike on main streets like Clark?
