Rode IPP / Fox River  Valley today.

Maywood to South Elgin is Dry and Fast.

Fox River Valley from S Elgin to Aurora is high and tight but has many black flys swarming. Tasty!

Auroura Spur to Lombard Dry and Fast.

Considered grabbing a 2Bros but missed turnoff.

Hit only 2 puddles near the Warrenville Section.

Did not hit any joggers but they did outnumber bikes 50-1.

3 bike shops in Geneva by River, needed patches, coffee and egg sandwich!

No excuses Winter his dead, ride your ass off!

Yep. I got my gf out on her bike today, so it's official.

Woot.

Hit a couple puddles while riding off trail near the Skokie Lagoons. Hit one HUGE surprise puddle that fully submerged my left foot, but made it through without a crash.

Also, while dodging some trail debris I  hit the biggest pile of bird-poo I've ever seen. This pile was at least 8 inches in diameter. YUK!

Spring is coming, but it still looks like fall out there:

If it snows again, I'll have Peter and Fran to blame. Hubris!

Hey, I never said ANYTHING about snow- this is Chicago after all, Kevin!

Aurora Spur to Lombard is open? That's good to know, it was detoured around construction last time I tried that route.

Salt Creek between Busse Woods and Brookfield is all clear too.

Yep, I was out from 8am-noon along the NBT and the nearby horse paths and single track. Tons of joggers!

From the photo it looks like you got out early, I had a late start and was in shadows by noon.

Did you ride the North Branch Trail up there ?

Everyone is a Bastard!!!

Yeah....I cleaned all my winter gear and actually put stuff away.  I'm back into lobster gloves and layers tomorrow morning.

You heard it here last Wednesday, folks.

Yeah, I needed my w*nter gloves for the ride last night.

I will NOT utter that word again until December.

I am moving this weekend and had all my winter hats and gloves boxed up. Then had to dig them out again on Monday.

LOL. Waiting for 70s to take my husband out:))
