Anybody know a bike shop in Chicago that carries Hold fast style pedal straps? Having a hard time locating the right place to go.

Look up chicagoWIG, he is a local guy who makes some great stuff
Thx, I saw those, they look great, but can I actually go buy them somewhere, or only on the Internet?

call smart bike parts on Armitage. they have several strap choices and if they do not stock an item; they can usually order it and arrives quickly.

Thanks guys!! Great info!

Issac of WIG is here.  I'll email him as well.

Thanks so much Julie!! I really appreciate all your help!!
That's what we are here for!

Got 'em at Comrade Cycles as well.

I wasn't familiar with these and was curious. Here's the web site for anyone else who's curious. Looks like they make some good products. This might be the right solution for one of my bikes.

They are the answer!

There is a bunch of companies making bmx pedal toe straps nowadays(many messenger bag companies make them), most look to be basically the same as the Holdfasts, and cost between $40 and $80. I've seen the Fyxation version several places around town for  $55, but if you're going to buy local you should buy the WIG ones for the same $$. If you are looking online, the ones from BiCi concepts look like the best design but there are lots of choices and several companies have lots of custom options. I got a pair of Pryme straps on Amazon for $20 and as far as I can tell the as good as the Fyxation ones, not as stiff as I would like, but adequate. Some of the cheap ones I've seen from origin8 and wellgo look way too flimsy to work well.
