Wheel built with Linseed oil?

Pulling things out of my art supply box I found some Linseed oil to lube my spoke nipples. I was tempted to use my clove oil but it probably would not work as well as linseed oil. The Rock n Roll nipple Lube I used before just plum ran dry.

 

Has anyone used any other kind of lube?

Wheelsmith Spoke Prep is what I use.

I've use spoke prep and linseed oil.  No problems with either.  Spoke prep drys faster.
