Share your pics, videos, streets, stories of what you find in the bike lane of the non-bike variety that has an impact on your ride and/or your safety. I've decided to keep it a little more open ended - cars, snow, buses, garbage, cabs, etc. If they shouldn't be in the bike lane, go ahead and add it to this thread. Please be safe if you are taking pics or video! :-)
My hope is that we can collectively build some evidence of what we see when riding in the city with the overall hope of better enforcement of "bikes only" and improving maintenance.
Update: More Hashtags to Capture Vehicles in the Bike Lane
With popular hashtags:
#BikeLaneShaming
#LaneSpreading (Chicago Bike Selling)
#ClearTheWay (ActiveTrans), there are many options to capture violations.
We think you should use ALL of them AND post your photos on The Chainlink. ;-)

Weirdest thing happened...
Outside of where I work, there's a bike lane on Illinois Street. And all the time there are rideshares being dropped off in that bike lane near the southeast corner of Illinois and Rush, and it's irritating to say the least. On top of that, there's a bus stop, meaning that CTA has to share that bike lane.
Having said that, when I pulled up this morning, there was a streets and san pickup truck parked there with blinkers. The streets and san guy ran over and said "Sorry about that!" and got in the truck to move it. :)
I said, "Actually, I'm pulling off right here, but thank you - I do appreciate it!"
I'll never figure out why they figure it's OK to stop in the bike lane and put cyclists in danger, but verboten from stopping in the traffic lane and inconveniencing other motorists.
Yeah, OK. Is there actually a street in Chicago were the bike lane takes up more of the pavement than the traffic lanes? I really doubt it.
"Verdammte radfahrer" = "damn cyclists"
"Brems" = "brake"
"Autoweg" = "motorway"
Great cartoon!
