What's this doing in the bike lane?
Share your pics, videos, streets, stories of what you find in the bike lane of the non-bike variety that has an impact on your ride and/or your safety. I've decided to keep it a little more open ended - cars, snow, buses, garbage, cabs, etc. If they shouldn't be in the bike lane, go ahead and add it to this thread. Please be safe if you are taking pics or video! :-)
My hope is that we can collectively build some evidence of what we see when riding in the city with the overall hope of better enforcement of "bikes only" and improving maintenance.

That's great. I noticed that they closed the northbound bike lane on Dearborn near Van Buren, but they had put up orange construction signs warning motorists that bikes had the right of way in the left traffic lane. At least they've made some effort to accommodate the bikes during construction.

"Police said the Uber driver had just dropped off a passenger and was sitting inside his car in the 100 block of West Elm around 2 a.m. when Hicks rode up on a bike while pointing a handgun at him. Hicks’ motive is not clear as he then pedaled away from the scene, police said. The Uber driver called 911."
Probably not the best way to handle bike lane violations, but in his defense I bet he could've cleared the lane pretty quick. :) Just kidding, this guy is a career criminal. Don't be like him.
