Share your pics, videos, streets, stories of what you find in the bike lane of the non-bike variety that has an impact on your ride and/or your safety. I've decided to keep it a little more open ended - cars, snow, buses, garbage, cabs, etc. If they shouldn't be in the bike lane, go ahead and add it to this thread. Please be safe if you are taking pics or video! :-)
My hope is that we can collectively build some evidence of what we see when riding in the city with the overall hope of better enforcement of "bikes only" and improving maintenance.
Update: More Hashtags to Capture Vehicles in the Bike Lane
With popular hashtags:
#BikeLaneShaming
#LaneSpreading (Chicago Bike Selling)
#ClearTheWay (ActiveTrans), there are many options to capture violations.
We think you should use ALL of them AND post your photos on The Chainlink. ;-)

Harrison is always bad but, at lunch time yesterday, every single block from Wells to Halsted had at least one vehicle parked in the lane. Some blocks had 10+ vehicles parked on both sides.
At lunch time today, two box trucks were unloading at two different spots in the Washington "protected" lane with forklifts. They must've been there for 20 minutes in full view of countless police officers. Both buildings have alleys and loading docks.
It doesn't matter how much the ticket costs if nobody ever writes the ticket, especially in well-known trouble spots.
I'm planning to attend the Mayor's Bike Council meeting in early June, and I'll once again raise the issue. If one looks at the heat map on the BikeLaneUprising website, it *clearly* shows that Franklin and Harrison are seriously hot. I'm going to ask point blank how many tickets were written on these two stretches in the past year.
