The Chainlink

I'm leading a Beverly gardens and architecture tour next Saturday 5/5.  Anyone is welcome to attend this Chicago Cycling Club ride - about 15 miles at a casual pace.  Click the link above for more details.  We'll see a lot of the roads less traveled, with plenty of beautiful scenery.

Sounds like there could be a group riding down from Logan Square, probably at a brisk pace.  If you're thinking of coming and looking for some extra mileage, send me a message and I'll put you in touch with that group.

Anne, tried to get more info but I am getting a message that says the event is full. What's up with that? I hope Diana and I might be able to join you on this ride.

Full?  That's a strange error.  I just followed the link above, and the ride listing came up as normal.

There is no limitation on the number of people, although I'm hoping it's not an enormous number.

Here are both links (Chainlink and CCC).  It would be nice to see you and Diana there.

Hi Anne,

I got the same odd error that Ken got.  Chainlink says the event is full.

"We're Sorry

This event is full. Please contact the Event Organizer for further information."

I'm still intending the lead a group from Logan Square down to Ridge Park.  See you Saturday!

The event is listed as private.  Once Anne updates the event it will show up.  Give her a few hours!

Sorry, folks. I'm not sure how that happened.  It's fixed now, so you can try it again.

Looking forward to seeing you on Saturday.  Art says he's coming, too.

The weather forecast for tomorrow has improved a LOT - yeah!  Looking forward to seeing you all then.

Weather.com says mostly cloudy with 10-15% chance of rain.  It looks worse than that, but I'm still planning on riding down to join you.

Excellent!

Thanks for coming and for the nice write-up.  I'm glad you were able to join us.

While the hills may not be as challenging as around Palos and other points southwest (especially in wide open areas), I like to give people a warning because most of the folks I was expecting ride primarily in the city and rarely see anything resembling a hill.

I'm sorry that everyone wasn't able to stay for lunch at Calabria.  We enjoyed ours, then a few of us ventured north of 95th St. again for dessert at Rainbow Cone.  Yum!
