The Chainlink

Trails for Illinois is launching a new program to help build new trails and fix problems with existing trails: Illinois Trail Corps.  You can contribute money, tools and/or your volunteer time to help get trails built or fixed sooner than is possible when projects are totally dependent on grants and government priorities.  Aside from the obvious appeal of having more places to ride, building trails and having existing trails helps to create jobs and support local businesses - a win-win for our state.

I donated. How about you?  Click here and help the program get rolling.

Very cool.  Those who are able can donate $$.  Those who have time can volunteer to work.  Those who have tools can donate those as well.  Thanks for sharing!

The beautiful folks at REI have joined Illinois Trail Corps, and are now offering their sweet outdoor classes + $50 gift cards for us to give to donors as premiums. Please check them out! http://igg.me/at/maketrailswork
