Vote for Miguel delValle! Rahm is not interested in bettering Chicago.

Don't mean to get all political, but I just read Rahm's Wiki page, read some other info on him and the Chicago machine and pulled some gems for a These Blog Postings .  What does everyone else think about this kind of individual continuing to set the tone for our city?

I don't like it a bit.

Del Valle seems awesome!  anyone have any dirt I should know about him before joining his team for sure?  (hint... there was none.  I joined his team for sure!)

Love ya!

Going for a ride.....

I'm not a fan of the incredibly corrupt Braun -but what is the big deal about what she said in the "outburst" other than how she couched it and in what forum it happened in?

Nothing she said was untrue.

Down the memory hole.

The Media likes to re-write history and deletes stuff as it is convenient.  The story/blog about this is GONE.

I'm not voting for Rahm.  He isn't attending any of the community events to discuss topics.  For example, he didn't attend the event to discuss environmental concerns.  Carol Moseley Braun was the only one there who was willing to discuss environmental issues, and she mentioned improving walkability, bicycling, and public transportation infrastructure.  So far, Carol Moseley Braun's got my vote.

Ok...Patty is next on my list.  She has some mentioning of bicycling on her website.  But I didn't get a good feeling for her in the debate that I saw.  We'll see.  Thanks.

To James: I just didn't like Carol's accusation or reaction, whether it's true or not.  I don't know how to explain it.  That's not to say that I also had a weird feeling about Patty's accusation and reaction either.

Why not Patty?

It surely wasn't very dignified on either of their parts.  It had more of a "chick fight in the projects" feel to it than a good clean political debate amongst professionals.

It brings to mind that whole biblical analogy of  "knowing a tree by its fruits."

That, combined with the lack of substance in her answers to questions, has made Braun a non-starter for me.  She shows empathy and some recognition of issues that are important to people, but there's nothing behind it to suggest that she would actually accomplish anything - same as when she was in the Senate.

I still like del Valle best on the issues and on his basic pragmatism, but I'm concerned that he's still failing to gain ground while Braun has been throwing away her lead over him and Chico with both hands.

I guess if I were forced to drink one of these brands of poison I'd probably drink del Valle poison as it is the least noxious.

That said, Rahm is going to win with the same certainty (and for the same reasons) that Saddam used to win in Iraq back when he was still alive and in power.

We shall see.

If anyone but Rahm wins I'll be extremely surprised and my stomach will be might full of my hat.

All politics is theft.

Some steal more, some steal less -but they are all theives.

Sorry for mixing my metaphors.  Theft/poison.  Political power comes from the barrel of a gun.  Back when the nascent Tea Party started I thought it might be cool to shrink the behemoth money-sucking machine.  But when I started to meet these teabaggers I learned that they only wanted to shrink government enough so it fit into a woman's vagina.

Me, I'm pro-choice on everything but it seems everyone wants to ban something -and I can't abide by that bs.  The only thing I'd like to ban is stealing.  All sin is theft.  Whenever you see someone talking about making the world a better place by taking things from people you know they are a politician.  They then turn around and use that stolen property to buy votes.  That's how it works.

That's why I call it poison -but really it all boils down to theft.

My wife and I are Rahm Supporters. Happy to know that our votes at least neutralized whatever two fools that voted for Braun. ;-)
50%. We need to get the number down from that. Most people aren't smart enough to vote. Sure they have the right but not the brains.

Somebody asked about proof that Rahm was bankrolled out of state.

I hope this article will suffice.
