The Chainlink

I am registered to volunteer at the UIC bike swap next weekend (3/9). I received a conformation email stating that my registration was completed, but that is the last information I received. Anyone else get more info? My shift is from 9:30-1:00. I'm thinking I should plan to arrive by 9 to be on the safe side, but I wanted to know if anyone had any other time suggestions. Should I arrive earlier? I also plan on riding my bike/public transportation to the event.

Is there anyone in particular I should check in with when I arrive? My plan thus far is to arrive and say that I am a volunteer and go from there. I will be working volunteer registration. I imagine that I will have to learn what I will be doing for a few minutes before the doors open to the rest of the bicycle world.

Any information is much appreciated!

On February 14 I received an e-mail from Rebecca Dill saying details should be sent to us in about two weeks--today would be two weeks.  I bet we will hear from Active Trans shortly with specifics pertaining to our volunteer assignments.

Thanks, Lisa.

Amanda, there will be very detailed info per e-mail which will be specific to your assignment; I know Becca is working on Swap stuff today (per e-mail about something else) so please stand by. Probably not a huge need to arrive early for you since doors open at 10-- a little communication/coordination time is already built in. Thanks for helping out!

Thanks for the quick response! I knew I would be able to find out by asking the chainlink community! You guys are the best!!!

Just double checked my inbox, and I also got the Feb 14th email letting me know that we would be getting further information soon. I overlooked it. Thanks for the Heads up! Thanks for all your hard work Becca! I am really looking forward to this event!

I just got an email 10 minutes ago...they are coming !

I just got mine too! I can't wait!!

Thanks for sharing, all.  This might go without saying, but it's nice to see this forum enable the efforts of bigger organizations by providing for instant communication directly between the people involved. See you at the swap!

Got my email! See you all then

I volunteered, but since I did not receive my email yet, does that mean they didnt accept me?

I see you down for noon to 5:30 for Bike Corral.  Any chance you missed an e-mail?

It would have come from Christine or Rebecca (Becca.)

The e-mail we have for you is a Yahoo-- any chance something went wrong with that?
