You blew the red light east bound on Lawrence at Damen at 5:26 pm this evening.

There was enough time for the biker in front of me to make it half way into the intersection, northbound on Damen, before you came whizzing past my front wheel.

I yelled "You're an idiot!" at your big haired chick, self, and you looked back at me. I meant it!

I woulda testified for any of the cars, that managed to not kill you, if they had.

Keep riding like a tard!

love,

gabe

Witness bad behavior during your commute? Feel free to post. Maybe that lovely human can read it and think they are famous. Maybe you can also inspire the whole generation of kids to shower but we can start with small things.

Sidewalk shoalers!!! Such contemptible behavior.

To the sidewalk shoaler at Clybourn and Halsted this morning... Get your dumb, divvy riding ass back in the street.

Even better is when it's your cause of death. Shoal the light for Southbound Clybourn but don't notice that Weed street gets the green first. You've gone from a live irritant to a stain on the street. No loss for me really, I'll go round.

This reads a wee bit sanctimonious.  FWIW.

Interesting morning. To most of the cars on Fullerton, between Clybourn and Racine this morning - you guys are rockstars. That traffic was backed up like crazy, and most of you were so incredibly patient.

To the handful that weren't, that chose to cut around everyone via the bike lane - can you please just check your mirrors before you pull that nonsense? It's not like getting 3 cars ahead is going to save you any time.

I got a little fed up and finally just dismounted and stood with my bike in the lane. I was easily spottable by cyclists approaching from up the block (many of whom were trying to navigate around said cars), but every single car out of line had to merge back over into their correct lane. One of the offenders actually gave me a "thanks, sorry" wave, but then one then tried to cut off a semi driver and was unsuccessful all around... C'mon folks. We're clearly all trying to get somewhere... Let's just be a little more patient and a little more kind while we do it.

"Celebrating" some anonymous (or even some not so anonymous) death is emotionally arrested.

Would this be considered a personal attack? I wonder, very little, but I wonder.

Consider it calling the behavior into question.  If that behavior belongs to you, so be it.

You call others "dumb, divvy riding ass", "a live irritant", and "a stain on the street."  Would you expect someone else to find your cool declaration of "No loss for me really, I'll go round" as "evolved"??

Although I am new to the Chainlink community, I realize that you are dragging me into your recent shit-storm regarding speech and moderation in this forum.  Sorry to disappoint you, but I will try to not give you the attention you so obviously crave.

Ahhh , see that addresses it. It's attacking an idea... So you're all good. Kudo's.

It's a been while since I've posted a missed connection ever since December.
Ok so this happened two weeks ago on a Saturday when I turned southbound on lake and Lasalle before going on duty. So when I turned, this can cuts me off, parks, and opens his door on me. Luckily I slammed it shut on his arm. He screamed and I laughed hard and gave him the bird. He's a cab driver, he deserves it...well most cab drivers.

There was some question about whether threats were made and whether a member was attacked. This is a thread that assumes people are angry about the way others have conducted themselves on the road. Sarcasm, anger, salty language, can be a hazard of reading this thread. The moderators assume that when there is a post stating "Death to shoalers" that the tongue is in the cheek and that jihad is not being sought. However, if we feel the threats are a little too real we may react otherwise. As regards the calls of being personally attacked please keep in mind the old adage, "He who smelt it dealt it" and leave that speculation to us unless our reaction is specifically being sought.

David, if you keep in mind that i'm a huge ass it all works out in the end. I'm amused that folks are comin' on this thread sayin it's awful. Going to a different thread really isn't hard.

You:  Riding sanely and carefully in the right direction on Ravenswood across the Berteau Bike Lane after properly stopping for the stop sign.

Me:   Acting like a jerk and not noticing you as I "california stopped" on my bicycle.....

I really don't normally do this and I am sorry that I was a jerk.   Glad we didn't actually collide.

You:  The older gentleman who doesn't like to stop for red lights at very busy intersections, move at a snail's pace, and like to shoal.

Me:  The guy who stops and waits with traffic, big orange Seal Line backpack, WEARING a helmet, and way faster of a rider than you.

We meet again, but the morning this time.

YES, if you try to shoal me I will hold my line whether or not that puts YOU in a dangerous situation with traffic.  If you want to pass, open your useless flapper and say something, I left my crystal ball mount on my other bike and can't read your mind.  Don't get lippy because you waited 15 feet behind me and started rolling on the yellow to try to pass while I waited and went on green and still stayed in front of you.

I'll be out here everyday, rain or shine.
