You blew the red light east bound on Lawrence at Damen at 5:26 pm this evening.

There was enough time for the biker in front of me to make it half way into the intersection, northbound on Damen, before you came whizzing past my front wheel.

I yelled "You're an idiot!" at your big haired chick, self, and you looked back at me. I meant it!

I woulda testified for any of the cars, that managed to not kill you, if they had.

Keep riding like a tard!

love,

gabe

Witness bad behavior during your commute? Feel free to post. Maybe that lovely human can read it and think they are famous. Maybe you can also inspire the whole generation of kids to shower but we can start with small things.

I agree. And I'd suggest there is a difference between being disliked for doing something legal and doing something illegal. Just saying...

If you're scared enough to ride on the sidewalk you need to slow way down.  That's the problem Tim seems to have here.

That grow a pair wimp was typed here and not said, it was more of a quiet "what the hell" a quick "a little heads up, walk your bike" and he was gone out of my vocal range.

I was a little ticked this AM after the Ninja (good choice of words) flew right by without an "On Your Left" or even a "Yo Move Yo Ass!" That stretch of sidewalk is heavily used by bikes and there is not really enough room for bike and pedestrians to share. Get off and walk if you are going to go cross the Cherry Ave bridge, it is only a block from Kingsbury.

Thanks Tri and Steve for catching the meaning. Slow down, better yet dismount, if you are unsure of the road you are travelling and elect the sidewalk.

I was struck and knocked into the street by someone riding much too fast on the sidewalk. The ironic part, it was Damen, which has a bike lane. After I calmed down, I made him promise to ride in the street or walk his bike.
Thanks for turning around and having a talk with me after I said "walk it" to you as you road your bike wrong way on the side walk.

Good point - I agree! I occasionally take the sidewalk there and ride at about jogging speed when I do.

Tim,

I understood that you didn't actually say that - sorry I wasn't clear enough! :)

This is what I do at Logan Square - I live where I'd have to ride entirely around one half the circle to get home from Milwaukee, and that seems like an unnecessary risk to get home. So I usually get up on the side walk and ride no faster than I could walk past dunlays etc.... If there's anyone in front of me walking, including parents with kids, I make sure they know I will stay behind them at a safe distance, at their pace. Dismounting and walking feels unnecessary when I'm riding that slow/being aware. Plus it's fun balance practice?  I know that I don't belong up there, but feel it's for my own safety. So I behave like a guest.

Yes I know I'm in "the lane" I'm riding my bike legally! So don't honk and squeeze me over then get shocked when I bang on your window! You hit me I'm hurt and you have a scratch.
You, driving a Honda SUV up LSD this evening. Me and hundreds of bikers runners, walkers, babies in strollers.

Your car burning so much oil that people were trying to cover their faces as you continued to drive, ignorantly poisoning us.

On the other hand, that car didn't last an hour . You may be joining us on the bike path.

You, riding a 5,000 dollar bike in full Spandex resting your legs for a brief moment.

Me, riding along my merry way passes you on your left in my tshirt and gym shorts, on my 1983 Raleigh sovereign.

You, get pissed that I pass you so you burn your wheels for a few minutes while I continue on my pace.

You, feel me on your back for 3 miles with no sign of letting up

You, get off at the Belmont tunnel as I laugh and pass by you, just getting started for the day.
