There may be hope for snow cleared bike lanes

Does anyone know what the city plans to do with all the bollards and their holders/stands when winter arrives? Do they get removed? I just imagine the first snow plow just destroying all those things in one pass.

I really hope that this provides sufficient motivation for municipalities to take winter bike and ped safety more seriously.

I am moving before I'll be able to face a second winter bike-commuting in Chicago, which makes me sad.
