The HandleBards

Shakespeare Tours on Bikes

“4 men, 4 bikes and some pretty extreme #Shakespearean adventures.”

The HandleBards do #Shakespeare differently - #cycling from venue to #venue and using their #bikes to #powervarious surprises and contraptions on-stage, they play all the parts in directors James Farrell (RSC, West End, Chichester Festival Theatre) and Emma Sampson’s (of Riff Raff fame) hilarious 1930s indie-folk romps.

Described by none other than Sir Ian McKellen as 'uproariously #funny', the HandleBards were back on their bikes in 2015 for their most diverse season to date. #Hamlet and A Midsummer Night’s Dream have just finished travelling the country - but we’re touring these internationally in early 2016. We’re also preparing our 2016 summer cycling tour, when we’ll have not one, but two troupes on the road.

I love this. I love Shakespeare (my dog's name is Shakespeare) so this sounds really fun to me. I'd love to ride with them for a day. I bet it'd be pretty fun. Thanks for finding this and sharing it.
