SPRING ? What is that ?

In Medellin, Wednesday night is the 'Place' for bike parties with 3,000 people. Sunday is a weekly event when downtown streets are closed to cars to allow pedestrians and cyclists to enjoy them.

Medellin was one of my stops on my Cartagena (Colombia) to Ushuaia (Argentina) trip, at 1500 meters above sea level in its tropical latitude its ideal to spend a few days. Missed out on the bike parties though! In Lima, Peru they did close off some of the downtown streets on Sundays as well.
