The Ride of Silence on Wednesday, May 15, will be traveling along 18th Street west from State Street.  The street under the viaduct just west of Clark was full of glass a couple of weeks ago.  Anyone in the area willing to clean it up a bit before Wednesday night?  It would not be nice to have a lot of flats coming out of there!

Thanks!

Lisa - any chance someone can call 311 and request this ? (not trying to be cynical here)

Yikes!  Anyone know the status as of today?  That will cause a bit of difficulty.

Dan--I never thought of that!  Ask the City for services--what a novel concept!

18th under the viaduct was closed as of Sunday evening.

I left voicemail at Solis' ward office (5/14 @ 9:55 am) . I'll keep you posted on whether or not I hear anything back.

Thanks, Kevin.  If you talk to a human being can you make sure it is actually open?  I have to go to work.

Did it right after seeing the initial post, before I left for work. Figured it couldn't hurt to try.

It was open this morning when I passed by on the Rock Island. I wonder if that closure had anything to do with the ongoing work in preparation for the red line shutdown.

FYI - when I made my 311 call, I also mentioned mud, which has been an ongoing problem since they started doing work at the top of the ramp on the north side of the street just east of the viaduct.

Thanks for the updates. Hopefully the mud and debris will be cleared by tomorrow night.
