Tom Skilling: Snow possible by Monday
October 7, 2009 3:13 PM | No Comments
With the incoming air mass unseasonably cool, cloud level temperatures definitely support the possibility of snow by the end of the weekend.

If there are to be any snowflakes in the air, the period in which they would most likely occur would be Sunday night into perhaps Monday morning.
This wouldn't be a sticking snow, and any flakes would probably be part of the cold rain showers expected to sweep the area in that Sunday night-Monday period.

Interestingly, snowflakes--were they to occur--would be early. October 31 is the average date for this area's first trace (less than 0.1") of snow.

It takes a lot to cool the lower atmosphere and get the first flakes down to ground level, so it's not a slam-dunk yet.

It won't stick so no big deal.
No, his brother, Jeffrey Skilling, is a convicted felon. He had something to do with Enron.

Not Gonna Happen
Yeah, Jeff Skilling was Enron's president and served as CEO for a few months as well. Pretty ruthless bastard too according to "The Smartest Guys in the Room" documentary..

If it snows, it snows. Welcome to autumn in the midwest.
10-4 on pesto friday!
if done on the same day, it's important to make the pesto before swapping to winter tires, or your pasta will taste like rubber and talc :(

Looks like a final pesto production run is in the forecast for Friday night . . .
This is actually pretty decent movie and should warm anyone up a little.

Yeah it is a little too soon for this crap, but bring it. Bike Winter!
I spent much of yesterday making pesto. I'm stocked up for winter now. Can't believe we actually got frost last night. Uggghhhh!!!! Too early.

I am about ready for winter in terms of clothes and warmth additives (always something to buy).

But snow this early. Interesting. I thought last year was our record snow-year. Maybe we will break our own records this year.
