Well, apparently the city scrapped their delayed snow removal scheme after bad results:

Hopefully this means less slippery side streets for the rest of the winter. But it still doesn't take much to be bad on a bike: that light dusting we got last week compressed to ice on the side streets, making me do a slip-slide so...

I made it to work today without problems. No slippage yet, but it is still coming down.

I hope they take better care of us than they did during that one blizzard we had last month.
The potholes that will send someone to the hospital.

at least there's an arrow on the ground to point them out :)

This is LSD! ;-)
Ooo! Time to fire up the blacklight and throw on side 2 of Live at the Fillmore East. Heavy man. HEAVY!!!
Awesome!!!! I think I saw them open up for Blue Cheer in 1968. EASILY one of the most underrated bands of the era! ;-)
I've been licking the mad hatter and nothing is happening. I'm doing this wrong (maybe i need a higher resolution screen). ;-) Dance Monkey, DANCE!
That depends on which side of the screen you're licking.

I did think I was tripping tonight when I noticed I was riding on salt up my little side street tonight, when that white dusty stuff was coming out of the sky. Sure enough, salted!

I knew I was tripping when I landed....
There was definately salting and some plowing yesterday, Today was NOTHING at all! ;-) YAY CHICAGO!
It should start immediately. I think it only affects overtime work, which may not have been triggered with last night's light dusting. Maybe we'll see a difference with our next significant snow.

My route this morning was quite clear, but I stuck with mostly major streets.
