For the grand finale of the Tour de Tiki we’ll ride to the Tiki Terrace,
1591 Lee St. in Des Plaines, an over-the-top Polynesian entertainment
complex with island-style dining, tropical drinks, stunning décor and a
Polynesian floor show (think Hula and fire dancing).

Tiki Road Trip’s James Teitelbaum raves, “A great vibe created by a
great staff serving great food makes any restaurant worth a visit. The
high TIPSY [TIkis Per Square Yard] factor and variety of entertainment
make a visit to the Tiki Terrace a must.”
Meet at 4 pm at Nick’s, 1516 N. Milwaukee in Wicker Park, departing by
5. We’ll ride 15 miles to the Tiki Terrace for dinner at 7 pm and the
floor show from 8:30 to 9:30. We can hang out later if desired and then
bike four miles to the Rosemont Blue Line stop and take our bikes on
the train home (or bike all the way home if we’re in the mood). If you
want to hustle, you can probably catch up with the Porn Ride afterwards.
The “seating fee” for the Tiki Terrace is $20, which includes the floor
show and a Hawaiian-style plate dinner (pork BBQ, coconut chicken,
pink snapper, steak stir-fry or teriyaki drumsticks, plus rice and slaw) –
tiki drinks, appetizers, etc. are extra.
If you’re planning on joining us, please RSVP to greenfieldjohn@hotmail.com
or via the Chainlink by Feb. 13 so I can
reserve us a table.
Cheers,
