This will be an Arraignment, This is the one in which a judge will be assigned and a large visible presence of Bobby’s supporters will make a strong first impression.

If you have not been trained as an advocate you may still appear as a member of the public.

 

Please note that the security line at that time of the morning is very backed up so it’s recommended that you show up by 9:00 a.m. so that we can all be rallied up by 9:30. I would also go ahead and schedule the better part of your morning off as there may very well be delays.

As has been mentioned, the community policing office has made it a stipulation of court advocates that they are not to discuss any details of what transpires at a court hearing they attend. This is out of respect for the family of the victim. Even the most seemingly innocuous piece of information can have potentially destructive and hurtful consequences so it's just best to err on the side of caution.

The next HEARING in the continuing saga of the legal process for Ryne Sanhamel, while allegedly driving drunk with an alleged Blood-Alcohol level of .127 allegedly drove into and allegedly killed cyclist Bobby Cann. This is a criminal proceeding, not a civil proceeding.  The date is June 2nd, 2015 at 10am, Judge William Hooks presiding.
