We all loved Chainlink bar night and it's time to start planning it's revival. Your help is much appreciated. We will go to different bars through out the city and have a give-away or two from the CL swag closet. Please share your recommendations. Here is some starting criteria. Please let me know if I am forgetting something so I can add it to the list.
1. Enough space to hold a decent-sized group. Same size as Gannon's? Party room is a bonus.
2. Sells food or there is a viable food option nearby e.g. the Emporium Arcade Bars don't sell food but are strategically located near great restaurants.
3. Bike parking - decent bike parking, bonus if they have a rack like Hopleaf and Revolution do.
4. You'd recommend the place to your friends (kind of a given but we want the place to be CL-worthy).
5. They will give us a Chainlink drink special. If you don't know, don't worry, I'll work something out with them when I go to scope it out.
6. In the summer, it would be ideal if there is outdoor seating too (more of a bonus).
Thanks for your help! My goal is to make this happen starting in February.

Simone's has plenty of space, sells food, and has a big rack like Revolution.
Skylark is similar, though they have less bike parking.
I like Revolution's Tap Room on Kedzie. Tons of space and great beer. No food but they do allow carry in or pizza deliveries. Drawback is that they only serve beer so might not be appealing to folks that don't like the hoppy goodness.
Besides that Shuba's has an upstairs room that can hold a decent crowd. Fat Cat on Broadway is a potential option. The Globe on Irving has a back room that would be perfect for a chainlink bar night as well as great food n' drink.
But I do appreciate the presumption that we are all drinkers.
Given the off-season would a bike store move some racks and host a BYO? I would think a slow, slow bike store might consider hosting the cities active cyclists (and potential customers) and put out some pretzels too.
Having an event at a bar does not assume everyone drinks, it is just an act of choosing a venue that many of the people who will be participating enjoy.
Contrary to popular belief you do not have to drink to go to a bar.

I'm a Skylark guy, but either of these places would be great!

I'd love to see this come back! The Revolution Tap Room is a great suggestion.
I also like Boiler Room - they've got a rack, good cheap pizza, and in the summer have a back patio.

Smart Bar is undergoing some renovations in early January, and they're throwing this literal house party to celebrate their reopening with a free, headlining set by Derrick Carter. There's no good reason NOT to do this. We already survived last winter; let's jam the fuck out of this one. Doors open at 10. I plan to show up between that and 10:30p. If you haven't been to Smart Bar before, things tend to get lively between 11p and midnight; no clue on whether this event will peak earlier or later.
