Name That Bike Rack: Part 7 - Win a Ticket To Thursday's Premiere of Bicycle Dreams

First person to correctly name the location of this bike rack will receive a ticket to Bicycle Dreams: The Movie, sponsored by New Belgium Brewing, taking place Thursday at The ViaDuct Theatre.

That means you get in free, receive one raffle ticket, have questions answered by a RAAM veteran,  watch the Racketeers, an all-women BMW Dance Troupe and hear Schwinntonation,  a local band that takes the various sounds that bicycles can make and turns them into music.

And you get to drink New Belgium beer all night at $3.50!

And that raffle ticket could win you:

- a Gotham Citizen Folding Bike courtesy of Advil (valued at $300)

- a wheel-building class courtesy of Christopher of Holistic Cycles in Oak Park ($175 value)

- Where To Bike Chicago book , courtesy of Greg Borzo ($25 value)

- Various Technical Gear ($150 value)

-RAAM poster signed by veteran racer, Scott (you choose the value)

The architect (of the museum, dunno about the bike rack), Stanley Tigerman was on Chicago Tonight tonight.

This picture makes the bike rack seem--a little underused.  But it's pretty.  The museum self-identifies as being in Skokie, not some other town: 9603 Woods Drive, Skokie, IL 60077, is the address on their web site.

Rack experts how does it rate on a functional level?

Couldn't find any pics from the side.  Anyone else have?

Cool racks and cool picture!

Functionally-- depends a bit on the gauge of the tubing (wall thickness.)

Round tubing can be cut with a pipe cutter that will fit easily in a pants pocket.

Shape-wise, it looks like it ought to be easy to double-lock to.
